what was I thinking...

Lately, I have been thinking about when did I actually started smoking, exactly how long have I been doing that, was it a decade by now, and my mom has been pestering me now and then, and I didn't even realize I have immuned to her nagging.

When I figure it out one day, how many sticks have I been puffing in a day actually terrified me a second, when the moment my mom told me over and over again about my uncle who did a coronary artery bypass surgery just a few years back.

So one fine day, I popped into a pharmacy and look for a pharmacist.

Me: Arr Hi, do you sell any nocotine patches?

Pharmacist (a lady): Umm, how many sticks do you smoke a day?

Me: Umm, 20 sticks a day, does that consider a lot for a day...

Pharmacist: She look a me one kind and turn around and get me the nicotine patches. Ok here you go... Patch up one a day and it can last up to 16 hours and please stop smoking if you really wanted to quit.

Me: Umm, The reason why, I want to get these patches is because I wanted to reduce my intake of cigarettes daily rather than to quit all at once, and I gave her a smile.

Pharmacist: Oh okay, okay. (in her mind, then no point buying then)
Me: (in my heart... W.H.A.T.E.V.E.R.)

here is how it looks like...

Some side effects you may encounter while you are on patches...
# Rash, redness or itching at patch application site.
# Dizziness. ( I have this effect on the first day when I try to smoke with the patches on)
# Headache.
# Abdominal discomfort.
# Nausea and vomiting.
# Indigestion.
# Awareness of your heartbeat (palpitations).

Today is my fourth day, so far so good, I do not feel the craving for ciggy, but once in a while I'll just light up a stick after every meals or probably another few more sticks in between and at the end of the day is less than 10 sticks daily, lol. Oooh, big improvement! Will carry on to try my best.
